About Me
I’m Bethany, a Scotland-based community storyteller and communications specialist working across digital media, youth engagement, and community building.
I’m particularly passionate about heritage, sustainability, and social equality and I bring both lived experience and a creative eye to every story I tell. As someone who is working-class, hard of hearing, and the first in my family to attend university, I understand how access, identity, and visibility shape the way we move through the world and this drives me to create inclusive and accessible communications.
Beyond the screen and the page, I’m an avid volunteer and community collaborator. I’ve supported national youth boards, co-designed climate and heritage workshops, and helped shape policy conversations on education and equity. I’ve volunteered with The Young Women’s Movement and YoungScot, helping amplify youth voices on social justice and civic participation. I’ve also worked with ClimateFORTH, The Sutton Trust, and Groundwork UK, focusing on community engagement and youth empowerment.
When I’m not working on a project, you’ll find me reading fiction, wandering with my dog Atlas, baking or exploring local heritage sites and museums.
I’m always open to collaborations, conversations. and commissions, particularly around:
- Social impact storytelling
- Accessible Communications
- Community heritage and access
- Youth voice and digital strategy
